Forage Balancer® – Transition

The transition from dry and pregnant to giving birth and lactation is a major challenge for our animals. 

At this time they are undergoing major physiological and metabolic changes and the need for critical nutrients is dramatically increased. 

Sometimes many of the symptoms of this challenge are hidden and other times they are obvious – ketosis, milk fever, sleepy sickness, down cows and so on.  Either way there is a significant production cost. 

Unfortunately our lush green forage is adding a significant challenge to this transition period, lacking key nutrients like magnesium and vitamin D as well as being low in energy.  

Forage Balancer® – Transition is a simple and cost effective way to help balance this challenge.

Cattle 120g  |  Ewe 30g

Note: We have extensive transition products available for Dairy goats and Dairy sheep.

HOW TO FEED

On its own or mixed into feed.

Put the required amount out daily in long trough.

For run-off situations, you can put 2 or 3 days out at a time.

It’s so easy to use.

Simply pour the correct amount into a long open trough. You can use PK trailers, culvert pipes cut in half, make your own with timber or buy ready made troughs.

The key is to have lots of space for easy access, we recommend 30 – 50 cm for cattle and 5 – 10cm for sheep.

Ideally you would put out a daily dose but in situations where you're not there daily, like runoffs for example, you can put out 2 – 3 days at a time.
